Generator Installation

Generator installation shall be a professional work to avoid future adverse effects. It would be helpful to minimize repairs and expensive spare parts replacements.

Generator Operation & Maintenance
Once a diesel generator is installed, it has to be operated and maintained in according to the “General Maintenance Schedule” supplied by the manufacturer. Additionally, the generator set might also need to attention to while it is being operated, as there is a very high tendency to happen operational failures.

Circom Power offers generator operation and maintenance services. We can be undertake Annual Maintenance contracts to perform the generator at free of major repairs /replacements.

How does Hybrid Diesel Power Generator works

Hybrid diesel power generation combines advanced generator technology with integrated energy storage for the most fuel-efficient, off-grid power available. A majority of fuel consumed by conventional generators is wasted due to operating the generator below its most efficient output range. Hybrid generator eliminates this waste by only running its engine to charge the batteries or if the load demand is very high. The engine automatically starts when the batteries are depleted. Peak loads are met by drawing energy from the battery bank and/or the engine if needed—all computer controlled without user input. A simple sketch describes the basic structure of how does it works.

Circom Power Technologies(PVT)Ltd is the very first company in Sri lanka who already touched the hybrid diesel power generation system and we capable to handle any type of service and maintenance on it.

Why Turbo Charger used in Diesel Power Generators?

An engine is designed to burn a fuel-air mixture to produce mechanical energy. The mechanical energy then moves pistons up and down to create the rotary motion that turns the wheels of a vehicle. The more mechanical energy, the more power the engine can produce.

A significant difference between a turbocharged diesel engine and a traditional naturally aspirated gasoline engine is that the air entering a diesel engine is compressed before the fuel is injected. This is where the turbocharger is critical to the power output and efficiency of the diesel engine. It is the job of the turbocharger to compress more air flowing into the engine’s cylinder. When air is compressed the oxygen molecules are packed closer together. This increase in air means that more fuel can be added for the same size
naturally aspirated engine. This generates increased mechanical power and overall efficiency improvement of the combustion process. Therefore, the engine size can be reduced for a turbocharged engine leading to better packaging, weight saving benefits and overall improved fuel economy, as well as reduced emissions.

Although turbocharging is a relatively simple concept, the turbocharger is critical to the operation of the diesel engine and therefore requires a highly engineered component.

Generator Approximate Fuel Consumption Chart

This chart approximates the fuel consumption of a diesel generator based on the size of the generator and the load at which the generator is operating at. Please note that this table is intended to be used as an estimate of how much fuel a generator uses during operation and is not an exact representation due to various factors that can increase or decrease the amount of fuel consumed.
